Care & Maintenance

Keep drainage outlets clear and check the wall occasionally for movement or cracking. Avoid placing heavy loads close to the top of the wall unless it was designed for them.

Pricing Factors & Timeframes

Every retaining wall project is quoted individually after a site visit, so your quote reflects your site and the options you choose.

What Affects the Price

  • Wall length and height
  • Wall material and finish
  • Excavation and soil removal
  • Drainage requirements
  • Site access and ground conditions

Expected Timeframe

Small garden walls may take a few days, while longer or taller walls take more time. Timing depends on the wall size, finish, ground conditions and weather, and we’ll confirm it in your quote.

Retaining Wall FAQs

Answers to common questions. If yours isn’t covered here, ask us when you enquire.

Do retaining walls need drainage?

Most do. Drainage behind the wall helps relieve water pressure. We’ll include what your site needs.

Do I need approval or engineering for a retaining wall?

It depends on the wall’s height and location. Taller walls and walls near boundaries or structures may need approval or engineering. Check with your local council or the NSW Planning Portal, and we’ll discuss it at the site visit.

Can a retaining wall also be a garden bed?

Yes. Many of our walls form raised garden beds that are planted once the wall is finished.
